Sweet Sixteen Portrait Session in Chattanooga

Happy New Year!  I figured the best way to start the new year would be to post my most recent session.

I first met McKenzie while I was taking some Homecoming pictures of a group of kids at Sequoyah High School.  I knew immediately that I just had to ask her to model for me and she inspired the whole look of this session!  Her infectious smile and gorgeous red hair were the perfect complement for a winter session of muted blues and neutrals.  As it turns out, we ended up getting a grey, dreary, rainy day which would normally result in a rescheduled session but we persevered through the cold and rain and the result is fantastic!  My friend and fellow Instagrammer, Rebecca Swindall, helped with this session - making the tulle skirt and assisting with styling - so I couldn't have done it without her!

Megan & Brian - The Wheeler House Wedding in Canton, GA

After an unusually cold and snowy winter, Megan and Brian had a gorgeous day for their wedding at The Wheeler House in Canton, Georgia and it was the perfect way to start a beautiful spring!  I was asked to second shoot this event by the incredibly talented Kim Ali of Kim Craig Ali Photography .  It is such a privilege to get to work with her and you can see her images on her post here .

Megan and Brian are an incredible couple and I hope their joy is as evident in these pictures as it was to witness it on their big day.

The guys had to enlist a little help for tying bow ties. ; )

And here I thought I was being so sneaky and staying out of sight.  Being spied by a flower girl.

Charlotte - Centennial High School Senior

Beautiful Charlotte, who I met at an Instameet in Atlanta, is a fantastic photographer also and she loves horses and art.  She'll graduate from Centennial High School this May.  I've no doubt she will be a very successful photographer one day!

My favorite!

Camden - Woodstock senior portrait session

My goodness!  It's been over a year since I posted anything here on the blog!  tsk tsk!  Time to get caught up...but not in any particular order.

First of all I want to say what a surprise this year has been for me and the business.  I was considering shutting it all down, to be honest, because I just didn't know which direction to take it.  Then, this wonderful thing happened!  I started giving some discounted senior portrait sessions as graduation gifts and that is all she wrote.  I ended up shooting 20 different senior/teen sessions this year and I am LOVING it!  I have found my niche and it makes me immensely happy to be so content with what I am doing.

So, without any more chatter, here are the pics!

Camden is one of my neighbors in our wonderful, small community and he is a remarkable guy!  He is an accomplished tennis player and in National Honors Society at Sequoyah High School.  Brilliant, athletic, motivated, and kind - do kids get any greater than that?  I think not!
